The ease and success of any spacecraft mission depends heavily on its risk management program. Some guidelines for creating and implementing such a program were included in this module. This allows for identification and assessment of risks to a project, as well as ways of monitoring, minimizing, and controlling them. Common risks faced by these projects include financial, strategic, compliance/effectiveness, operational/planning, environmental, health & safety, and ethical & legal risks. L-C rankings and plots are tools you can use to prioritize in a risk management program. Under a risk management program, progress in addressing risks should be tracked, this can be done with an updated L-C chart. A risk management program is imperative to the quality of any CubeSat project.
